SOKY Obits

For many, many years the local newspaper was the place everyone watched to see who had recently passed. If you didn't hear about a passing from friends or family... or at the office water cooler... you read it in the newspaper. And even if you had already heard about it, you confirmed the details by checking it out in the newspaper. Sadly, newspapers are mostly gone. The ones that remain have lost an incredible amount of their circulation. So, in today's world, we, sadly, often miss the news of a friend, co-worker, business associate or even a family member passing. By the time we hear the news it is too late to express our sympathies and support.

In an effort to keep you informed of South Central Kentucky passings, SOKY Happenings Magazine has started the SOKY Obits website and email. You can check this website, which will be updated daily. Or, a much easier choice is to sign up for our daily email. You will receive an email every morning with names from all around South Central Kentucky. Each name will be a clickable link to that individual's obit.
